Grass & Muck 2016

Grass and Muck will take place on Thursday, May 12th, 2016.  The Event will again take place in Gurteen Agricultural College and it is hoped to build on the success of the 2012 and 2014 events.  The excellent facilities and central location of Gurgeen College has proven to be a very successful site for this event where nearly 9,500 visitors attended in 2014.

The usual format of ongoing demonstrations throughout the day in the Grass, Reseeding, Silage pit, Slurry Spreading and Farm Yard Manure Spreading area will be continued as well as an even bigger area of Trade Stands.

Bellewstown Races 2016

Horse racing at Bellewstown Racecourse, on the Hill of Crockafotha in Co. Meath, is beautifully situated with magnificent views of the Mountains of Mourne to the north and the Irish Sea to the east. The tradition of summer racing at Bellewstown dates back centuries and the first record of racing here appears in the August edition of the Dublin Gazette and the Weekly Courier in 1726.

This superb one mile and one furlong left handed course, in a truly unique location, features both flat and hurdle racing. Bellewstown Races are synonymous with top class racing, wonderful summer evenings, family entertainment and ladies day races which add to the fun.

Bellewstown Racecourse hosts two summer festivals each year, one in July and one in August. This years July festival will take place from from Thursday the 30th June to Saturday the 2nd July. Their second festival will take place on Wednesday the 24th and Thursday the 25th of August.

Punchestown National Hunt Festival 2016

The Punchestown Irish National Hunt Festival will take place Tuesday April 26th to Saturday April 30th 2016.

This famous festival is considered the grande finale of the jump season with top class horses, trainers and jockeys from both sides of the Irish Sea converging on the Kildare Venue to settle scores and confirm reputations.  The quality of racing is unrivalled with a total of 11 grade 1 contests taking place.

Punchestown is proud to be the home of the Irish National Hunt Racing and host to the famous La Touche Cup, a spectators favourite run over the cross country course - its a 'must see' for the racing fan.

Tues/Weds/Thurs/Fri the first race goes to post at 3.40pm (tbc). Gates open at 12 noon. The last race will be 7.15pm (tbc).

Sat is Festival Family Day, the first race is at 2.30pm (tbc) and the gates will open at 11.30am (tbc).  Please arrive early for the complimentary childrens activities.

Irish Open 2016

This year the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open will take place in the prestigeous K Club, Co Kildare,  home of the famous Ryder Cup in 2006 from the 18th to the 22nd of May. With expectations of a record crowd in attendance at the tournament of approximately 20,000 spectators each day this promises to be one of the best Irish Open tournaments to date.

Fine Gael Ard Fheis 2016

The Fine Gael Ard Fheis 2016 will take place at Citywest Hotel from Friday January 22nd to Saturday January 23rd. CKS Tickets will be responsible for all Accreditation Checking at this prestigeous event.  The system used is one recommended by CKS Tickets some years ago.

The Farm Machinery Show 2015

The FTMTA Farm Machinery Show 2015 drew to a close on Saturday, February 7th, after a very successful three days at the Punchestown site. A record attendance of 18,750 people visited the Show with a huge crowd of some 7,500 on the Saturday.

Despite very cold weather during the preparation weeks, conditions on the Show days, while still cold, were pleasant and allowed visitors to take spend more time viewing the much increased outdoor display areas as well as visiting the many stands in the three exhibition pavilions.

Laytown Races 2016

Laytown races occupies a unique position in the Irish and English racing calendar as it is the only race event run on a beach under the rules of the Turf Club.

The next Laytown Strand Races will be on Tuesday 13th of September 2016. 2016 will be the 149th running of the event which was first recorded in 1868.

First Race goes to post at approx 3pm (tbc)  Gates will open 12 noon.  Look forward to another fantastic year.

Tattersalls International Horse Trials 2016

The 2016 International Horse Trials combines top class Eventing with all the fun of the fair! See the world's leading riders battle it out in the three Eventing disciplines: dressage, cross country and show jumping; while enjoying all the country fair has to offer.

The shopping village hosts over 60 stands exhibiting a range of products from clothing to. Enjoy the picnic area by the most exciting fence on the course - 'the water fence'; feast on delicious produce from the many artisan food producers; or relax in the beautiful Tattersalls Country House.

Family entertainment includes a free kids' zone, dog competitions and lots of activities from pony rides to carnival stands, bucking bronco and bouncy castles to a pet farm, face painting and much more. Look no further than this Co. Meath event for a fun bank holiday day out for all the family!

This year the Trials run from Wednesday 1st June to Sunday 5th June inclusive.
